About the Michigan Vintage Volkswagen Club
The club incorporated officially as the Michigan Vintage Volkswagen Club in the fall of 1987.
Our first Car Show was held at Anthony Motors, a VW/Mazda dealership in Sterling Heights. A nice attraction was a 1945 Split Window Beetle owned by VoA. This was the oldest known Beetle in the U.S. at the time.
In recent years, our Car Show has developed into a Festival held at Riverside Park in Ypsilanti each May. Several hundred vehicles are usually on display at this non-judged event.
The MVVC website has also developed into a comprehensive medium for Club-related information, including a photo gallery and an events calendar, supplemented by the Club's own Facebook page.
