Ed is one of the club's earliest members, joining in 1988. Originally from down state (Lansing ) he and his wife Linda (and dogs Patrick & Hamish) live in Alanson Michigan. They are hosts of one of the longest running summer events of the MVVC--the Petoskey weekend. Rick and Chris live in Historic Indian Village, Detroit, MI. They are in an ongoing process of restoring their 1913 arts and crafts four-square home. They have a four year old golden retriever named "Boomer". Rick owns a red 1973 Superbeetle, Chris has the responsibility of keeping it on the road!

Tim lives in Sterling Heights.
His dream someday is to own a mid 1940's beetle or a Kubelwagen. Besides VW's, Tim loves snowmobiling.
Tim co-owns a 1958 Beetle with Rolf.

Lee & Wanda Swaby
Secretary
Lee and Wanda Swaby live on Grosse Ile and have been MVVC members for several years. Both have been daily drivers of VWs in the past. We wanted an older VW for a pleasure car and found a 1978 VW Convertible to meet that desire. Our second love is sailing on our 26 foot sailboat "Jus' Duckie". In addition Wanda is an avid kayaker. Lee & Wanda enjoy the small airport next to their home and Lee was formerly an pilot for twenty years. We are pleased to be able to lend a helping hand to the MVVC.
