| 05/25/2013 | Burton Parks and Recreation Fundraising CAR/TRUCK SHOW | 2303 South Center Road, Burton, MI | Burton Parks and Recreation is hosting a fundraising car/truck show located at 2303 South Center Road, Burton, MI, on Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 9am – 3pm. The Goal of this show is to “Pack The Truck” full of school supplies for Burton Students. Proceeds will go to the purchase of more supplies. We are looking for all car/truck enthusiasts to show off their classic, truck, collectible, traditional rod, rat rods, tuners and/or custom vehicles. The first 100 registered vehicles will receive a dash plaque. There will be awards for the Top 20 vehicles, Best of Show and Special Pick Awards. Registration is $10 per vehicle and one school supply (or more). An All you Can Eat breakfast for $5 will be available from 9am – 1pm. Breakfast includes sausage, pancakes, coffee, juice, etc. Whether or not you bring “your ride”, please stop in to drop off school supplies or make a donation. Help make a difference for Burton Kids. | 06/28/2013 | Back to The 50’s Weekend | New Castle, PA at Cascade Park | On behalf of the Back to The 50’s Weekend, we would like to invite you and your club members to our event, Back to The 50’s Weekend, June 28-30, in New Castle, PA at Cascade Park. Back to The 50’s Weekend, is one of the Premier Annual Auto events in New Castle, Pennsylvania. The park is spaciously landscaped, and the waterfalls are breathtaking. The success of this event is exciting and has been recognized by the area. In years past, ESPN2 Street Rodder TV covered our event, along with "Our Town" segment on Comcast Cable. The event has also been seen in numerous magazines such as, Hot Rod, Rod and Custom, Street Rodder and Super Rod, just to name a few. Back to The 50's Weekend competition sets the stage for the areas hottest rides. It provides a platform for cars, music and is the most innovative, successful family fun auto event in New Castle. | 07/13/2013 | Great Lakes Dragaway Bugfest, formerly known as MOFOCO BugFest | Union Grove, Wisconsin | The location for Great Lakes Dragaway Bugfest, formerly known as MOFOCO BugFest, remains the same yet changes to the event and venue have been made. We are "Rolling Back Time" and the GLD Bugfest will run on Saturday, with free camping available Friday and Saturday nights to those with paid admissions. This year's Bugfest will not be part of the Import Wars series, the Bugfest will only be for Volkswagens! There will be 1/4 mile drag racing, car show, swap meet, vendors, entertainment, food and a variety of other activities throughout the day. The excitement and responses are building towards having a "VW fun day, for everyone!" Oh yes, also new this year...for those who "LIKE" the Great Lakes Dragaway Annual Bugfest Facebook page, their name will be included in the monthly giveaway drawings from now until June. | 09/29/2013 | Michigan Buggy Builders Show | US 131 Motorsports Park | The Michigan Buggy Builders Show would like to thank US 131 Motorsports Park for joining us as a sponsor for 2013. US 131 Motorsports Park continues its support for VW enthusiasts. The Martin, Michigan facility, known as the “Fastest Track in Michigan,” will once again host two exclusive VW events during the 2013 season. The 6th Annual Spring Bug Run will be held on May 5th and the 7th Annual Fall Bug Run on September 29th Gate admission is only $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and children under 5 are free. With the success of last year’s free entries into the Car Show, Swap Meet and Car Corral, US 131 will once again offer this to those participating at the event (gate admission only, no additional charges).
