"Welcome to the information pages of the MVVC Vintage Festival. We are hard at work on plans for the 20th annual Festival. As plans for May 13th, 2007 are finalized, we will add this information to the site. In the mean time, please feel free to browse thru these pages on our 2006 Festival".
GENERAL SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Friday,
May 11th:
6:30 pm:
Meet
at the Festival host hotel, the Ypsilanti Marriott. We will have a hospitality
suite sponsored by Karmann Ghia Parts & Restoration and Air Head Parts. Pizza,
subs, soft drinks, beer and a great opportunity to meet and greet festival participants.
We will also have on display the items that will be available at our charity
auction the day of the show, Sunday May 13th. All proceeds from the auction will
be donated to this years featured charity, the Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage
Museum and Miller Motors. Items donated so far include a First Act Guitar from
Volkswagen of America, Inc.

am Meet at Karmann
USA Headquarters in Plymouth Michigan. There we will tour Karmann's US facility,
and see the Pontiac G6 retractable hardtop, and Chrysler Sebring Convertible
in production. Following the tour, we will meet in the Garden Room at Karmann
for a luncheon. Please email edk@mvvc.net for

The MVVC 20th annual banquet at the Ypsilanti Automotive
Heritage Museum and Miller Motors. Adults $10.00, children 12 and under $7.00.
There will be a separate cash bar. Guest speakers, presentations, the sale
of the best of show awards (with all proceeds going to YAHM & MM)and several
surprises to be announced.This years banquet will have a definite German theme,
and prizes will be awarded for the most appropriate apparel. Seating will be
limited, so please email tim@mvvc.net for
reservations. Immediately after the banquet, we will retire to Sidetracks,
across the street from the museum for the banquet afterglow, and mini VW car
show in the parking lot.

Festival Fees:
Adults $3.00--Children Under 12 Free
Show Car Pre-Registration $15.00 ($20.00 the day of the
event--with no guarantee of Goodie Bag or Dash Plaque)

Meet area will be $35.00 per space (10’ x 20’)
Commercial Spaces: $50.00 Each
Three pass in reviews, with one being devoted to Karmann
Ghia Cabriolets. The annual Heroes of Volkswagoning award and the charity auction
for the Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum are just some of the events planned
for the show this year.

Everyone that enters a car in the show will receive a goody bag, with an approximate retail value of $25.00.
Entrance is $3.00 per person, children 12 and under free.
Show car pre registration is $15.00 (which includes the driver), day of the show $20.00, with no guarantee of a goody bag. Swap area is $35.00 for a 10 x 20 spot.
For commercial vendors, each spot is $50.00. One vehicle and trailer will be allowed in each spot.

This years featured charity is the Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum
Please join the MVVC in supporting this unique facility. YAHM is devoted to automobiles from the Ypsilanti area. The Corvair, Tucker, and other automobiles are featured at this museum. Miller Motors is the last remaining Hudson Dealership in existence. This facility and it's staff have been great supporters of the MVVC since we made the move from VoA HQ to Ypsilanti, and Riverside park. This year, with your help, we want to return the favor. Our 2nd Annual American Red Cross Blood Drive
The Washtenaw County chapter of the American Red Cross will once again have a blood drive the day of the show.
Please join the MVVC in supporting this worthy cause.
The drive is at the Ypsilanti Performing Arts Center, lower level art gallery.
The Arts Center is located next to Riverside Park and is accessible from the south end of the park.
Donation hours are from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
