Each year they also feature a vintage vehicle. Through the years they've had fire engines, military jeeps, campers, motorcycles, tractors and monster trucks. This year, they want to highlight vintage VW Bugs this year, so they invited the MVVC. Event dates are Friday, August 16 from 4-9 pm and Saturday, August 17 from 10-3 pm. |

Turn into the parking lot, head towards the back of the grounds, pay $5 at the gate, and ask them to point you towards The Hill. | Line up as many vintage VWs as we can on The Hill, hang out, and watch an exciting day of road racing. Then drive your own car in parade laps on the track at lunchtime. We've also invited the local Corvair club. The Concours d'Lemons Michigan will take place on July 25, 2020 at the Inn at St. John's. But hey at least we are on the property and on the green of a major concours. All of regular Concours d'Lemons hi-jinx will ensue, capricious judging, bribery, awful trophies and even worse cars. If you take yourself or your car very seriously, this isnt the show for you. Hagerty Insurance has has stepped in to add a shred of legitimacy to this farce so be sure to thank them for the laughs. The best part is that the show is free for participants and spectators, so you'll get exactly what you pay for.. There will be a food vendor to provide a source for lunch. This year we are also planning on having a Port-a-Potty on site. For those wishing to caravan out to the diner from the Detroit metro area, we will meet at the former Karmann USA in Plymouth (now Webasto Roof Systems) beginning at 10:00 AM in the parking lot where the MVVC 2009 Festival was held (located on Pilot Drive, just south off of 5 Mile Road, between Sheldon and Beck Roads, just north of M-14). The caravan will hit the road no later than 10:40 AM and proceed through Ypsilanti to US 12 (Michigan Ave.). We'll follow US 12 west through the towns of Saline and Clinton, into the Irish Hills to US 127, where we'll head south to Hudson, MI. At Hudson, we'll turn west onto M-34 and make our way to the Sidekick. The caravan will be travelling essentially two-lane highways with scenic, casual driving at moderate speeds.
